Elizabeth Phelps

Since 2012, Elizabeth has channeled her passion and expertise into leading Grace Place School, empowering young people to rebuild their lives. With a Master of Science in Education focusing on children with behavioral and emotional disabilities, she has over 18 years of experience teaching and supervising programs for at-risk youth.

Elizabeth felt called to do this work by God throughout her life. She was deeply impacted by her time in public schools, witnessing firsthand the homelessness, violence, systemic neglect, and other challenges faced by marginalized youth. She later developed an urban childcare center and conducted outreach to families of incarcerated individuals.

Her growing awareness of human trafficking and a life-altering experience in her own neighborhood compelled her to take action. When Elizabeth moved to South Florida and learned about the threat of exploitation to children in the area, she established Grace Place School to provide them with a path to education, support, and healing.

She continues to be driven by the belief that lasting change is possible through strong partnerships with individuals, churches, businesses, and volunteers who share her heart for making a difference.
